Live Wedding Painting

Commission a truly one-of-a-kind experience. I come on-location to paint your wedding as it happens. You and your guests get to enjoy the creative process as your painting develops right before your eyes.

What to expect

1 hour phone consultation with artist ~3 weeks before wedding to discuss details of the painting and what moment the couple wants painted.

I arrive 1-2 hours early to set-up a single location and start sketches/painting. I paint 4 hours live at your wedding, finishing by 9pm.

The majority of your painting is finished on-site so that your guests can see the painting progress in real time. I also present my progress to the couple and allow them to make their own mark on the canvas! I bring the painting back to my studio for final detail work.

Upon your approval, I carefully package your painting for shipping. If you're in the area, you may also pick-up from my studio.

Up to $1,000,000 liability insurance coverage.

All my packages include the couple in high detail. You may also choose to upgrade your painting to include additional loved ones. I love hearing your ideas to create the perfect painting for you!

Once your payment is received, I make the necessary reservations and confirm with you that your date is booked! In addition to reserving your date on my calendar, I book travel, book a hotel, coordinate with your venue or wedding planner, purchase a canvas on your behalf, and more. Full payment is required before your event and refunds cannot be issued if you cancel. Please see the terms for complete details.

18”x24” 20”x30” (Mid-size) 24"x36" (Large) 30"x40" (Grand) Smaller canvas sizes are great for hanging a series. If you are unsure of size for a live painting, remember you may change this before I start work. I'm happy to discuss sizing during our consultation call.

Travel Included

To keep things easy for you, my website calculates travel to your venue and pricing includes all my lodging, food, and incidental travel costs. Please ensure you have secured your venue before booking! Please note that my calendar fills quickly, so check with me to confirm your date is available!

I'm based in Knoxville, TN and love painting weddings at the beautiful venues here, such as Marblegate Farm, Dara's Garden, Sunsphere, Kincaid House, The Quarry Venue, Bleak House, The Standard, Press Room, Jackson Terminal, Knoxville Museum of Art, Ancient Lore Village, and other great venues in the Knoxville area.

Tennessee

The Smoky Mountains in East TN are among the most popular of wedding destinations in the US! I frequently paint mountain weddings in nearby Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Chattanooga, Johnson City, The Magnolia Venue, The Trillium Venue, Blackberry Farm, Anakeesta, Howe Farms, Castleton Farms, Waterstone, Dollywood, and more!

I love traveling to the many wonderful nearby southern cities and towns, such as Nashville (our Country Music Capital), North Carolina from Appalachia to the coast, Georgia & Atlanta city weddings, Kentucky estates and horse country lush with bluegrass, South Carolina and its Southern charm, Alabama's lush forests and winding river trails, and historic Virginia and its Blue Ridge views.

I paint the majority of your portrait on-site to capture the essence of your event. All paintings include studio refinement, where I complete the details of the painting.

I am not limited to time and space with how things happen. I can superimpose, enlarge, eliminate, and embellish to create the prefect scene.

Rain is a good thing 🎶

If it rains on your wedding day, I capture the rainwater in my paint so that you can have it permanently incorporated in your canvas.

I love participation

I love having guests watch, chat, and photograph as I paint. Given my history as an art instructor, I sometimes even allow your guests to contribute to your painting!
